FlagDeck Privacy Policy
FlagDeck ("the App") values your privacy. This policy transparently explains how the App handles data, in line with the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
1. Summary
- The App has no sign-up, login, email, or phone number features and collects no account information.
- Learning data (scores, streaks, review records) is stored solely on your device.
- The App uses Google AdMob to serve ads and Google Analytics for Firebase to collect app usage statistics.
- Tracking for personalized ads (using the IDFA advertising identifier) occurs only if you allow it via the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, all app features remain available and non-personalized ads are shown instead.
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is stored only in your device's local storage (MMKV) and is never transmitted externally.
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Nickname | Optionally entered by you. Used to display on the result screen. Stored only on the device. |
| Learning Progress | Quiz scores, streaks, review records, and similar. |
| App Settings | User preferences such as notification on/off. |
Uninstalling the App removes all of this data.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays Google AdMob ads to keep the service free. In this process, Google may process device information (model, OS version), coarse location (IP-based), and ad interaction data for ad serving, fraud prevention, and performance measurement.
- Personalized ads: The advertising identifier (IDFA) is used for ad personalization only if you allow tracking via the iOS ATT prompt.
- Non-personalized ads: If you decline tracking, only contextual ads are shown without identifier-based personalization.
- You can change your tracking preference at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
See the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information in ads for details.
4. Usage Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect the following usage statistics for service improvement:
- Screen views (which screens are used and for how long), app launches, and session information
- Device information (model, OS version, language, country-level coarse location)
- App instance identifier (a randomly generated per-device ID, not linked to your name or email)
This data is used for statistical purposes only and is not used to personally identify you. See Privacy and Security in Firebase for details.
5. Notifications
The App may use your device's local notifications for daily challenge reminders. Notifications are scheduled entirely on your device; no personal data is collected or transmitted to provide them. You can turn notifications off at any time from the Settings screen.
6. Third-Party Sharing
The App does not sell personal data. Data processing for advertising and analytics occurs only through Google (AdMob, Firebase) as described in Sections 3 and 4; no data is shared with any other third party.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The App is not primarily directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your Rights
- You can withdraw consent for personalized-ad tracking at any time in iOS Settings.
- Local data on your device is completely removed when you uninstall the App.
- For access or deletion requests regarding analytics data, or any other inquiries, please contact us at the email below.
