RTSP Camera Privacy Policy

Summary: The developer does not collect your personal data. Camera/microphone video and audio are sent only to the destination you choose (an RTSP client on the same network, or a relay server you set up yourself), without passing through or being stored on the developer's servers. If you enable motion detection, snapshot images are stored only on your device. However, this app shows ads, and Google AdMob may collect some data (such as device identifiers) to serve them (non-personalized ads only, no user tracking).

1. Personal Data We Collect

The developer does not collect or store any personal data. The app has no sign-up, login, or account. However, a third-party advertising SDK (Google AdMob) collects data to serve ads — see section 4 for details.

2. Camera and Microphone

The app accesses the camera and microphone to stream. Captured video (H.264) and audio (AAC) are sent directly to the following destinations:

Local RTSP mode: A user-specified client on the same network (VLC, ffplay, an NVR, etc.) connects and receives the stream directly.
Cellular/remote mode (optional): The stream is sent to a third-party relay server that you enter and provide yourself (bring-your-own model). The operation, data retention, access control, and jurisdiction of that relay are your responsibility and outside the developer's control.

In all cases, video/audio never passes through or is stored on the developer's servers. If motion detection is enabled, a snapshot image taken at the moment of detection is stored on your device (see section 3).

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following settings are stored only on your device and are not transmitted externally.

UserDefaults: App settings such as the authentication username/Realm, relay (RTMP) address, and motion detection on/off and sensitivity.
Keychain: RTSP authentication password and relay stream key (stored encrypted).
Motion event snapshots: When motion detection is enabled, still images (JPEG) captured at the moment of detection are kept in the app's private storage, up to 100 images; older items are deleted automatically when the limit is exceeded. You can delete them all in the app, and they are never transmitted externally.

4. Third-Party SDKs and Tracking

HaishinKit: Optional RTMP streaming library. It does not collect user data.
Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads): Used to display ads in the app. It may collect device identifiers, usage data, and diagnostics for ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. This app requests non-personalized ads only and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), so it performs no user tracking. Install attribution uses Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork. 5. Permissions

Camera — for video streaming
Microphone — for audio streaming
Local Network — to allow RTSP connections from devices on the same network

You can revoke each permission at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the revision on this page along with the revision date.
